Party food boxes

I have party picnic boxes for DD's birthday, which we will be taking outside (weather permitting!).

I'm just wondering how much to put in each box? I was thinking of drink, small sandwich, fairy cake, crisps, fruit and a babybel. How does that sound?

Also DD has suggested it would be 'the best ever' if there were a small bag of penny sweets in each one. I don't mind doing this, but would be annoyed if I put this in your child's party box? There won't be any sweets in party bag so will be only sweets of the party IYSWIM.

At least two sandwiches. Raisins? Definitely sweets. How old is your dd?

She will be 5. Raisins/dried fruit would be a good way of getting the fruit in without trying to work out how to stop grapes from getting squished! I'm thinking about the sandwich fillings and will probably do 1 cream cheese and 1 ham, although DD wants peanut butter and jam! (will do that in hers).

I'm wary of doing too much, although they could take it home with them afterwards if they liked I suppose.

Sounds fine to me. The sandwich hardly gets eaten, worth cutting the crusts of.
Definitly sweets, maybe the small packs of haribo. It is not a party without sweets.
When i did boxes for a party, i wrote on the invitation the choice of fillings for sandwich.
You coul do a few extra for the really hungry ones who want more.
Have fun.:)
