Does this sound OK?

My daughter will be 5 in march.

We have decided not to do a party this year as I am awaiting an operation and in a lot of pain so just not up to it.

So the plan is:

Will be taking her, and 3 school friends to the local soft play centre. It his one of her friends birthday a week after hers so me and his mum have decided to go halves and pay for the 4 children to get in plus for them to have a meal there followed by ice-cream etc.

Does this sound ok? Everyone else in her class this year seems to be having big parties etc so maybe I feel a little guilty as she won't get this.

My partner does have time off in april/may and we have decided that we will take her and her little sister to chessington world of adventures for the day as they have rides and a zoo etc. This will be a joint gift as my youngest has a birthday at the end of may

All the birthday parties I remember from my own childhood are the simple ones like going to MacDonalds or bowling - getting presents and going out will easily be enough fun for a five-year-old!

Sounds great to me!
