What is the going rate for a childrens entertainer ?

I'm considering a childrens entertainer for my DD2's 4th birthday.

People conveniently don't have prices on their websites and are taking an age to come back to me.

What should I expect to pay ?

I was quoted £150-180 for a couple of hours by the ones round here. They must be laughing all the way to the bank!!

Both local childrens entertainers I know charge £180 for 2 hrs. ( minimum booking time) so don't think it's unusual

150 for 1.5 hrs in London for up to 20 children

The cheapest I've found was 75 for 1.5 hours.(Basically she was an excellent face painter, and she brought a bubble machine and pre-blown up balloon flowers)

The most expensive I've seen was £400, which I think was for 2 hours.

The last entertainer I paid, in July, was £130 for 2 hours. He was true value, and DC are demanding him again next year. He kept 30 DC quite for 2 hours and ate fire.

Must say, i did reckon it'd be better value once we're doing 'whole class' parties, but soft play is still much cheaper for 10 or so kids!
