First birthday present for second child

Anyone got any ideas for DD's first birthday present? She already has every good baby toy going - play cube, brick truck, all manner of rattles/soft toys inherited from her brother. I don't want to give her anything branded or anything pink/obviously feminine.
I'll probably ask relatives for clothes and books, although really she's ok for them (and PIL will prob get branded pink frilly stuff whatever I say - not that I'm ungrateful!)
So, what shall I get her from us? Bearing in mind we're skint. Any suggestions gratefully received!

We got our 2nd DS a wooden toy box as we had all the usuals like you. Depending on your budget it could even by a lovely trinket box, something she can keep.

Pieces of paper to scrunch. Empty cardboard boxes. Your car keys. Bubble wrap. Wooden spoons from your kitchen. That's all a one year old really wants andneeds. Save yer money till she's older and knows what's going on!

DD1 got a little chair with her name on it, for her 1st birthday and a charm bracelet, DD2 will get the same thing.

DD2 received a Bob and Blossom t-shirt with a 1 on it from us (99p from eBay). We also gave her a teddy because she loves her big sister's and didn't have one of her own.

How about something she can play with not just now but for years, like a farm? (is dolls house too girly? DS loves ours)

Our DD has older brother too and as he (first grandchild to 3 sets of spoiling GPs) has every unisex and boy toy going she has always ended up being given dolls and tea sets and things because we don't have any already iyswim. It is quite hard to steer.

Have you got a teaset? Always v popular with my dds - prob at that age a plastic one would be best but there are some lovely tin/melamine ones around.
