DP turns 40 in a month and I am struggling for inspiration re his present.

What's the best thing you have bought for your other half?

And if they have had their 40th's what did you get him?

Eaglebird, he's being typical and has no idea what he wants!

I have had 2 different sets of friends go there. One couple have eaten at all the top places in London through either work or socialising and still rate Le Manoir as the best food experience ever. They stayed 3 nights Shock. Have to get DH to start saving for my 50th . Unfortunately its only just over a year away!

3 nights! Think taking him to New York would work out cheaper than staying there 1 night!

Am signing off now, thanks for ideas, much appreciated x

On the culinary theme, some friends of ours clubbed together and got my dh a carving course at Claridges - we all have a Christmas dinner together and he's a nervous sould and won't go anywhere near the turkey as he says others would do it better. But they do every type of cut of joint etc.

On a different note, and possibly less expensive notonthehighstreet.com has some lovely things for personalising. I got DH from our DD a pair of cufflinks with her fingerprint cast on them - she loved doing it and it's so (obviously - doh) unique.

Have fun!

As non-conventional as it may sound, the gift that was the biggest hit with DH was a cool remote control car! It was funny to see him showing it off to his dad and friends, not even letting the children play with it!
