Ok. I know DD1 will have no idea what the fuss is about but I thought it would be nice to have friends and family (limited of the latter as we live in a diff country)over for cake/coffee to celebrate her birthday.

Suddenly the list is 20 adults and as many kids. AM I silly? I' m a keen baker but also work full time so hoping to bake a cake and some goodies;rest M&S.

Any advice?

Also: she is in nursery. What is the 'done thing'. Do you send goodies with? If so: WHAT?

ANy advice appreciated.

Sorry if it sounds silly

it sounds a lovely idea and you just need to consider I think whether your dd/you will feel overwhelmed? The first 1st birthday party i went to had about 15 small children and even in a big house we felt frazzled after in a way I don't with dd and her friends now they're 3. I reacted by only asking 2 of her friends as it was enough for her to enjoy. You may be much more on top of things though as dd wasn't at nursery at that stage so I didn't get a break! Re. sending goodies, I made dd fun biscuits to take to nursery this year (they were letter-shaped)
