Waiting for resit results on ACA

DS retook an exam today - if he fails it, he loses his job.

The results should be in already (from 5am) but we haven't heard anything from him. No news is definitely not good. He has genuinely worked so hard to pass this exam, I feel so bad for him.

I just want to run upstairs and ask him - get it over and done with.

He's going to have to go into work tomorrow knowing he'll get sacked - it's going to be tough.

Yes all the ACA exams are tough. Just support her if she fails to get her head back down and study again.

I failed a paper once. Horrible experience - especially when my best friend passed and i was gutted but happy for her in the same day. Strange feeling.

But i doubled down and went into it the next time much better prepared - even though I thought I was the first time!

Luckily I had only marginally failed the one because back in my day we sat 5 at a time and if you more than marginally failed one you had to sit them all again!

My DD is now ACA exam qualified and just finishing the practice hours. It’s been tough. She’s had to do several resits (she’s dyslexic and has ADHD), the only one in her cohort to do so, but in a strange way it’s made her even prouder of her achievement.
I don’t recognise what’s being said here about the big4. Her employer has been incredibly supportive and yes they expect you to work hard but they’re investing a lot in you. She’s really enjoyed the experience and is well compensated- money goes further in the north east!

Resitting all the exams sounds brutal 😥
