DD living at home has boyfriend works 30 hours a week .
Every single day she's not going out or seeing boyfriend she comes home from work around 3/4pm gets her pyjamas on and gets into bed . For eg she slept from 4pm until midnight last night. Didn't wake once had no tea said she had headache which she didn't have when she got into bed . She should have been doing my hair for me so it never got done . Totally not bothered only interested in sleep .
It's everytime I'm not at home . All she does at home is dust and hoover her room .
She's had every blood test reduced anti depressants from 20mg to 5mg reduced beta blockers by half as we keep blaming medication .
We've blamed depression yet since meeting new boyfriend she's so very very happy. I worry how she is gonna run a home or look after children in the future .
Any advice welcome as it's totally upsetting the household

Hi OP. Sounds like depression. She may appear happy with her bf but appearances can be deceiving.

My DS (26) spends a lot of time in his room, but I know he is depressed. His 'appearance' would say otherwise to some.

It's very upsetting for all concerned.

What did she do after midnight?

Is she having big weekends and catching up on the week? Health issues aside, that would be my guess. Burning the candle at both ends?

Why have they reduced her anti depressants? Depression isn’t anything to do with just ‘being sad’, it’s a mental illness and doesn’t necessarily have a rhyme or reason to it. She could have the most perfect life ever, but it wouldn’t cure her lack of serotonin.
