Mastitis has ruined breastfeeding

Hi
I have a 9 month old dd who was ebf until just over a week ago.
i had mastitis the first time when she was around 5 months and the milk supply never came back in that side so we continued one sided nursing successfully.
Now I’ve just had mastitis again on the other side, it was too painful to feed and there was virtually no milk when pumping so she’s had to have formula for 6 days. Now she won’t feed from me at all. She won’t latch, turns away and just isn’t interested.
i feel really sad, I wasn’t ready to stop so suddenly and miss feeding her.
i have got some supply back as I’ve still been pumping but has anyone successfully got a baby back to the breast? How long did it take? Or should I just accept that breastfeeding is over for us?

@Margo34 thank you. Drowsy and cuddles seem to be working, she will only feed from me laying down in bed, early in the morning! That will do for me 😁

Just in case anyone is interested, I hate not knowing the outcome of posts!
My DD has now got hand foot and mouth, has refused the bottle and is totally off her food !
We are now back to ebf… babies are so odd 😂

I suffered really bad with that with my first and it affected my breastfeeding journey but we ended up stopping when she turned 1. With baby DD2 I ended up getting it atleast 3 times in her newborn stage and I just continued to feed through the pain and I'm still feeding now 8 months on. If you have milk, I would try and get baby to re-latch. If baby doesn't take it then I would just accept it's over.
