Just the thought of having to entertain 4 kids for 6 weeks, makes me want to faint.

What do you do with them at the weekends? Just do the same but with a weekly trip to park/zoo/farm whatever.
It's only 6 weeks.

I can't wait as no getting up early.

I think organisation so you've got a basic framework is key. Make sure you don't over organise but aim for 2 or 3 outings a week or if you're like me you'll go mad. I copy everything that's going on onto the calendar then will do 2 or 3 a week as/if we feel like it.

I've got a zoo pass, farm pass and we'll go to the beach/woods/park a lot. I've got a NT pass so we can do the Wild Wednesdays. Can you ask grandparents for a pass to something,we did instead of bday presents. Have also booked the kids on some farm activities(fruit picking and making etc).

Alongside said outings we'll be doing the summer reading library challenge, check your local library for info and events. Have started collecting loads of junk/boxes etc, have stocked up on cellotape and pritt stick as they'll cellotape for hours.Have also bought a couple of those Doodle books and some new pens, sketch books to produce as needed.

Just rediscovered the old I Spy books, got the trees one each so they can be sent off to spy. They'll be out the front on their bikes a lot too.

There are quite a few good craft sites and I've discovered a site with paper toys they can print off and make. We've got the Mr Maker books which they might do some things from.

I'll let them choose a DVD a week from the library, give them a bit of computer time and TV time.

We'll also sort out the toy cupboard,re-discover all the board games, old toys.

Have a few play dates and it'll fly by.
