Lollipop Rainbow pockets - any opinions?

I have been given a few of these in size 2 and really rather like them. Baby is due in 2 weeks and I have seen that the size 1s are half price new atm, so am considering buying some. But has anyone used them and are they any good, before I actually buy brand new nappies??

I got one cheap on ebay (99p), don't use it. the aplix is exposed and high and scratchy (on the tum) so I won't use it on him as it would hurt him. Other aplix nappies are much more carefully cut and placed

I don't see the point of fleece lined with plastic, you get no benefits of the fleece that way (like breathability)

I don't like lollipop nappies or the company, only bought it as it was 99p but it wasn't even worth that.

I think they are a fab night-time nappy as you can put loads of absorbecy in - I used to put 3 prefolds in for overnight. The gusset means taht it still fits really well, whereas if you overstuff some pockets they just gape badly.
But I personally wouldn't recommend them as a daytime nappy as they are way too bulky.
They are still breathable as the waterproofness is PUL. The outer layer of fleece is purely for decoration!!

I really liked mine, you can fit loads into them for night and they dry super quick which was important for me as don't have radiators or a tumble dryer.

I wouldn't buy them new though (unless they are REALLY cheap) see if you can get some more good second hand ones.

Well the new ones are £6 each which is cheaper than some of the second hand ones I've seen recently - the quick drying thing is really important for us as well because we live in a caravan and so drying nappies in winter is going to be a royal PITA!

have you seen coolababys?, they are about £6 new and a fantastic birth to potty day nappy

You can't put nearly as much in a coolababy as you can in a Lollipop rainbow.

I really liked my rainbows - reliable and very cute. They are bulky and my ds2 wore them day and night. Pocket nappies have come on a long way since they were released but they are good and would recommend them - maybe not a whole set but def some!

Well, I'm now the owner of 5 size 1s and they are all fluffy and stripey

I have been collecting various different nappies, no more than 5 of any one sort - some tots bots easyfits, some bamboo pop-ins, various fitteds/wraps - so we can find out what works best. Quick drying has to be fairly high priority though - any other suggestions welcome!?
