So just done the EPDS questionnaire as been having a "blue" week or so and a few niggles in back of my head that maybe am not 100% right.... Anyway got a score of 15 which apparently indicates possible depression
(assuming on a fairly low level as didn't answer "yes" to everything) and suggests seeing a healthcare professional.......

May sound weird but don't know if the niggles might just be because I know a few people who have been diagnosed with PND so am extra aware of it atm or if there really isn't something right, or maybe just having a crappy week or so...... Main feeling I have is that I just feel like I'm walking through mud (not physically, mentally) to get even the simplest of things done.....Do you think maybe I see how I am in a week or so before going to my GP???

TIA

I would start an emotions diary. Keep it for a few weeks. It will be good because you can show the gp that you've been feeling seriously down for a prolonged length of time and also it would be like a way of self therapy. Writing down your feelings is the best way of clarifying things.
Have you got friends who have children/child same age as yours? The best way I find to make myself feel better and realise I'm not the only one struggling is by talking to mates. You can talk here about exactly what you're feeling. I'd be happy to listen.

I think if you are truthful on it, it would make anyone sound depressed! The questions are very badly phrased I think and can make you seem suicidal when you might actually be quite cheerful as it is very much yes or no.

I had lots of niggles and low moments when my DD was small but I actually felt really happy about her, depspite her not being well and having lots of struggles.

I had a chat with my HV about it which really cheered me up but an emotions diary sounds like a good plan too.

Happy to chat too if you are feeling down about things...but maybe join a baby and toddler group or something just to go and chat to people and share anxieties.
