I don't know about you but I am finding it very annoying when my DS is watching CBeebies and before you know it they are playing the same programmes not just twice but three times in the same day.
Does anyone else think this is wrong ?
As a TV license payer I think I deserve some variety.

I think they assume that a child won't be sat in front of the tv all day and therefore won't be watching the same programme more than once!

Acinonyx · 16/06/2010 13:04

Perhaps it's meant to discorouge parents having it on all day. It's hardly 'before you know it' - is it?

Songbird · 16/06/2010 13:04

My thoughts exactly. As soon as you start seeing the same programmes, it's time to turn it off!

Oh, I see. But what will I do with DS if he is not allowed to watch his favourite programmes ? To be honest he is a bit of a handful when left to his own devices without the TV on.

Er... go out...
Come on, it shouldn't be on all day
half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the afternoon
the rest of the time you gave to entertain him I'm afraid

ElvisCridlington · 16/06/2010 13:10

Good idea compo, I am going to go out with DS this afternoon.
Does anyone know if the new Shrek film is out yet ?

Are you serious?!!

megcleary · 16/06/2010 13:14

So Cbeebies and a coca cola thread go Elvis

ElvisCridlington · 16/06/2010 13:17

Well yes, sorry but its the only new film I could think of that might be suitable for DS. Have you got any other film recommendations ?

No bored and avoiding housework.

5yearsto40bob · 16/06/2010 13:31

Go out and have some fun, get a life and get your poor ds one too while you're at it.

ElvisCridlington · 16/06/2010 13:34

Get up and get that housework done megcleary. And stop ruining my fun.
p.s - I should be hoovering.

Has he tried Emerdale?

tortoiseonthehalfshell · 16/06/2010 13:39

Elvis, have you thought of trying the other children's channels; he might enjoy SpongeBob and the like?

compo · 16/06/2010 13:40

When I said go out to avoid the tv screen I didn't mean plonk him in front of another screen
go play some footie with him in the park

TheCalvert · 16/06/2010 21:24

I heard that Jeremy Kyle is excellent at developing childrens speech from a young age.

As an added bonus, it teaches your kids about real life issues. Give it a whirl
