Can I ask you about nappies please?

Is this a parenting issue? Not sure where else to post it! Style & Beauty?? Anyway, would anyone mind teling me what nappies my baby should be wearing? He weighs almost 15 lbs (4 months old) and is still in Pampers New Baby size 3 but I have noticed they don't do a size 4 in this range and he needs to move up a level. What comes next? Is it Baby Dry or Active Fit? What's the difference? And should I stick with Pampers or switch to Huggies? Am a brand sucker over the supermarkets.

My DD went from Pampers New Baby size 3 to Pampers Baby Dry size 3 (9 - 20lbs) a few weeks ago once she hit 15lbs.

This was arrived at after much faffing about on the Pampers website. The nappies seem to be fine, and were on offer at Tesco The Active Fit ones have some rubbish reviews on the Pampers website.

Don't know about switching to Huggies, sorting out Pampers sizes was headache enough!

With our DS we dont choose a particular brand - just check what size range is on the pack and see what is on special offer or cheapest

We found active fit were a bit thinner. Ok for during the day but overnight they'd reach maximum capacity and DS would have a wet bum in the morning. Didn't want to faff with different types so use Baby Dry. They are a little less luxurious than the new baby ones but fine and comfy. Only complaint is that the tags break off occasionaly.

We used to use Active Fit until they changed the design so we swapped to every other brand on the market and haven't found one that suits. I am trialing cloth tonight...
But my advice would be baby dry as the design has yet to change and I have lots of friends who use that or Huggies Natural Fit successfully following on from the Pampers New Baby range.

i would put her baby dry, @ 4 months i doubt shes crawling so not 'active' for the active fit? baby dry is better anyway imo

We bought the active fit after newborn. We tried the baby dry at first but wasn't as good at holding poo in. We swapped to active fit as although not at the crawling stage, he was getting more wriggly and 'active' with his movements. We found the active fit to help with this stage.

But since pampers have changed their active fit we've now gone onto asda little angles size 4 and they are the best nappy ever. ( huggies and sainsburys own included)

We tried Pampers Baby Dry and old Active Fit. Baby dry was a bit better for overnight, but did not hold poo well. We are quite happy with the new Active Fit. Elastic bands are fine, holds poo well and is fine overnight.

We tried Huggies earlier, they used to stick to the bum..
