A Public Promise and DS and suppers!

I will NOT be making my 5yr6 month old DS two or three different suppers each night until he decides which one to eat.

I will make tea and if he eats it, good. If not: tough!

Tomorrow night is roast chicken, rice, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and probably gravy.

Eat it, buster, or go to bed hungry!

Very good.

But ask him if he wants gravy before you opur it on, and make sure none of the food is touching another type of food. [scared]

Your doing a roast dinner on a week night? I'm impressed!

I've lost the battle in this house - frequently 3 different meals - me, dh and dd!

I love the idea though....

Good for you. I also made this promise and have mainly stuck to it. Last night though I caved in and made two dinners. I don't eat fish or prawns and that was the pie I made.
DD is an incredibly fussy eater and I had in the past spent ages trying to think of something she could have which would more or less fit in with what me and DH were eating. In the end I decided that life was too short and she either ate what we did or went hungry.

He generally likes gravy, LynetteS, but I will try the "not touching" thing.

I childmind every week day, so sometimes I means doing one meal for the minded children, another later for DS, something for DH and maybe for me, too (as in maybe something different, too).... gets a bit much when the children leave by 6pm and I still ahve to tidy up 10 hours of childminding stuff!

Doing a roast mid week is not hard, because of me working from home, Acinonyx. I could not do it if I worked elsewhere full day. Not a chance!

I know I will probably cave in once in a while: that's fine! but day after day after sodding day..... really getting to me.

Dd1 is a fussy eater. If we are having something she 'doesn't like' she may make herself a sarnie. Provided she at least tries what we are having. I make sure I cook something I know she will like about three times a week, she eats at her GP's twice a week, so in reality she is only having sarnies twice a week.

No wonder my son has been a pita: he has bronchitis and a urine infection.

bad mummy

okay, chicken and rice and cucumber tonight!

It is good to know that I am not alone in this battle, though!
