New Wembley - your experiences?

Has anyone had any experience of taking a youngish one to the new Wembley? Going for the football play-off final next weekend with a 22 month old and just wondered what the facilities etc were like as i've not been to the new one yet.

The plan is we have an early lunch and she sleeps in the car on the way there so she's not tired (could all go pear shaped if that doesn't happen, but we'll cross that bridge if we come to it!)

Looking for any ideas for keeping her amused if she gets bored during the match. DP coming too and can take her for a walk if needs be (he's not that bothered about the game, but don't want to drag him all that way just to baby sit)

(Taking her is non-negotiable - i'm just looking for any ideas that might help it go more smoothly )

I was at Wembley for a playoff final last weekend. Didn't take DD as she's only 4mo and DH was happy to baby sit, so i don't have 1st hand experience of dealing with DC there, but did see a young-ish toddler there wearing those ear protector things you get for babies going to concerts etc and thought that was a great idea - DD would certainly have been alarmed by the noise! - but i guess this depends on your little one.
Sorry not to have any more practical advice. By the by I thought getting in and our the stadium was really well managed. We went by tube and didn't have any queues at any point to deal with on the journey there or back.

New Wembley is very spacious IME and doesn't have bottle necks at entrances which is really good for small children. I wouldn't be worried about bring a 22mo as there is good leg room in seats and it's generally not too squashy - compared to older footie stadia. Noise might be a concern - cotten wool may help. Enjoy

Thank you I did wonder about the noise and have been scoping out ear protectors - the challenge will be to get her to keep them on - today's battle was with the sun hat - sigh!

A bit worried about the journey - 2 hrs ish traffice pending, hoping she sleeps at least a bit of it. (Will play sleep inducing music to help!)

I'm making a list of "small things to keep her amused" which so far consists of pencil, paper, toy train, non sticky snacks (ok maybe some mini marshmallows for serious bribery) Nothing we're bothered about losing! What am i missing?
