Hi I'm a mum of a sixteen year old girl. Although this is my first time on Mumsnet, I have used other parenting websites - You can never have enough advice and support.

Hi CP1 ditto to what has already been said. Can't imagine being a mum of sixteen bit older than that myself but sometimes wish I was a lot younger as my parents were young when they had me and it was so nice having young parents - ah well that's life. Like you say you can never have enough advice and support and that's whatever your age. I've found mumsnet a really good place to turn.

crossma, I think she has a teenage girl, I don't think she is one!

Hi, CP, welcome to mumsnet. I've also got a 16yr old DD, although I haven't seen her for 6mths as we've been living abroad. We get home on Friday, though and I can't wait to hug her pieces!

alibubbles · 07/07/2003 14:21

I have a 16yr old DS and a 17 yr old DD.

DD passed her driving test 6 weeks after her 17th birthday. last month. Having got over the stage of worrying about her being out late because she always came home in a taxi or we collected her, I am worrying myself silly as she now has her own brand new car and even though she is always in when we say, the 20 minutes or so it takes her to get home have me pacing the floor!

She is a good driver and I am impressed with her competance, it's the other people on the road that worry me!

Awaiting GCSE's for DS and AS and A levels results for DD.

Sorry CP1 as usual I was rushing and read it wrong! (Wonder if there are any teenage mums on mumsnet though.)
