Bunny rabbits and toddlers????

ok, so is it carzy to consider getting a 'family' bunny for our 28 mo and 15 mo? i will do the cleaning cage etc, but can they help with feeding, grooming, etc?
DH says no way! advice/experience please?

get guineas pigs. They are much easier to handle and less likely to bite and they will munch on things like apple whilst they are being held.
some rabbits can be good but they do tend to kick out when they are being put back into their hutch.

depends on the rabbit. We have a lovely docile one that will also eat apple out of your hand and follows me round like a dog (looking for apple). But as for the DCs helping you... don't get one unless you want to do all the caring for it yourself and be prepared for them to lose interest v v quickly. Also caught DS trying to throw the rabbit off the sofa today and he's nearly five, never mind 28 months!!!
