Recommend me a lightweight folding pushchair with adjustable handles

hi all

DD (6 months old) already has a Britax Vigour pushchair which is fantastic and great for long walks and off road. However, it's in two parts and is bulky and cumbersome to load and unload into the car.

For very short journeys (e.g. GP) I used to just carry her, but now she's getting too heavy.

I'm hence looking for recommendations for a second additional pushchair. What we're after is a lightweight pushchair that folds up easily and has adjustable height handles (DH will be using it as well). We've looked at a couple of the super budget models but are looking for something better quality without going mad. Ideally it should have some sort of weather protection and somewhere to store a change bag. It never has to go off road!

Any ideas gratefully received.

Many thanks,

Katy

how about a Micralite?

not sure if you do go off road or not, 1 st and last para contracidtory

if your car boot ok for it, and it's not huge, i cannot recommend the babyjogger city enough. about 200 quid. because when you fold it you just hold it be the handle in the seat and bob's your uncle.

handle is fixed height, but that doesn't matter as it is set back enough for tall people not to need to be pushed back from it. we work fine with it, me 5ft 6 and dh 6ft 3.

plenty of store pace, in fact the under seat store hretaisn everything fduring the fold - i've done this a lot on public transport.

you buy the raincover sperate, but i haven't bothered as the amazing huge hood cover 75% of the kid. and mine is 2 yrs now, so a pair of wellies and plastic trousers are less fuss than plastic tent things. also, we dont need a sun cover with this

here's the fold

in my sad way, i have now folded it in front of people just to show off.

and they go wow. invariably.

tis a fecking marvel. if only the parent company sorted out their licensing over here, they might rule the world.

Thanks guys.

This second pushchair is for city use only hence not off road

we'll continue to use our britax full model for off road walks. I'm happy to take it in and out of the car for substantial walks, it just is somewhat OTT for several hundred yard journeys (and DD is getting heavy!)

have a look at the city jogger mini then. bit of a leap of faith as they're not often displayed - that bad licensing again.

could well suit you. in my time i've always needed city (live central london), collapsing (use public transport and get around faster with this option) and light/steerable (have RA, can't overwork hands/arms/shoulder joints), plus the whole short me tall him thing.

In 5 years I've ploughed through:

micralite
quinny buzz
phil and ted's
maclaren XT techno
babyjogger city mini

apart from when i've had to have a phil and ted's, i wish it had been babyjogger from the start.

i was gonna say a maclaren techno xt too

the handles can be short enough for me 5ft 3 and adjusted to suit a 6ft man too
