Recommend me a good quality travel cot

hi all,

DD is 6 months old and whilst delightful is fussy, stubborn and a poor sleeper. We got given a second hand travel cot. Admittedly it wasn't great quality, but in addition the folding mattress had a bit of a bump in it. Needless to say on our first weekend away we didn't get very much sleep.

We've got a holiday coming up and have decided to bite the bullet and buy a better travel cot to try and stack the odds in our favour of some decent sleep.

Fundamentally, what we're after is a good quality travel cot with a nice mattress. Size, weight, price are secondary considerations though we don't want to be silly unnecessarily.

Recommendations please,

Many thanks, Katy

Littlelife arc 2 travel cot - it's quick to put up, packs down small and is light to carry around. We borrowed a friend's one a few months ago and DD who never ever sleeps through the night did so in this. Have a look on the Mothercare website for the details.

I have the littlelife and tbh the mattress is VERY thin, thinner than a 'normal' travel cot. We've not had any problems with our ds sleeping in it but he's a reasonable sleeper. You might be better with a more traditional sturdy-framed thicker-mattressed cot!

We have a v good, big Graco travel cot we bought for DD1 12+ years ago and it's still being used by 3yo DS.

But we bought an Ikea cot mattress topper for it which makes it much more comfortable. Either get one of those or a whole separate foam mattress to put on top of the mattress supplied.

Both of mine sleep well in the Nomad travel cot, which is bit pricier than the Littlelife one, but with thicker mattress.

We were given a traditional tavel cot which neither of them would sleep in and is a pain lifting them in and out and i'm glad we stumped up the cash for the Nomad.

We had the samsonite large travel bubble- always been excellent for my 2. Folds down into a carry case, and is really light.
