Pampers nappies in the orange packet and nappy rash??

I've just had put ds into size 3 nappies and have the pampers in the orange packet and within a day ds has nappy rash. He's never had it before (12 weeks) and dd rarely had it. I have another two packets upstairs but I don't want to use them!! I also think they are not as good as the purple packet ones?? Anyone else or just me??

my son (4months now) seems to get a rash from babydry. I rang pampers to ask about it an they sent me a £6 voucher to try different kind

starynight · 17/04/2010 00:19

Yep they gave my dd a bad nappy rash and i dont think there as good either.

OOh I wonder if it is the same formula as the ones they recently had trouble with in USA?

article here about Pampers DryMax in USA causing nappy rash

Problem is we don't know exactly what you're putting on baby's bottom with a disposable do we?

onadietcokebreak · 26/04/2010 09:03

Friends have mentioned the same rash with that nappy.

Advise you do ring pampers and complain....if parents dont then they cant gather information and investigate it can they?

Like a previous poster said may also get a voucher....

abroadandmisunderstood · 26/04/2010 09:35

Another yes from me. Worse nappy rash (DS2 is teething so has a sore bottom). I've reverted to standar Pampers now.

He also used to get such an itchy lower back in the orange Pampers. He'd scratch himself until he bled

Suziewoos · 04/05/2010 07:52

There are issues with leaks and also reports of rashes/burns with the redesigned (no warning on outer packaging that the design has been chnaged) Active fit nappies (branded Cruisers if in US.

Please see the following links for info and you can also seach other baby forums as parents are complaining in vast numbers:-

and

I urge you to contact Pampers if you are having issues and ask for your money back (not a voucher to spend on more nappies!) and you could also contact BBCWatchdog and share your story if you are in the UK

We had problems with them too. We stopped using them immediately and will never buy them again!

IMoveTheStars · 06/05/2010 21:21

same here. Pampers normal, Tesco's and Sainsbury's own don't at all though. (huggies do)

PaulinePetrovaPosy · 06/05/2010 21:23

not rash but used them once and never again - ot worth the minor saving imo rubbish!

bacon · 21/05/2010 19:11

Surely these nappies if that thin have to be pumped fill of chemicals? I never had a problem with the more eco-friendly disposables.

Also putting creams on babys bums with the chemicals in these nappies surely there must be some reaction. Again, never had a problem as avoided putting creams on if not needed.

I'd be really interested if someone could tell us what is in these nappies?

cookielove · 21/05/2010 19:16

googled it, this is what a review said for pampers baby dry:

Balm, Petrolatum, Stearyl Alcohol, Paraffinum Liquidum , Aloe Barbadensis.

blossomx · 26/05/2010 14:07

totally agree... going to try tescos now, nappy rashis real bad. any idea how to get rid of it?

Ariela · 28/05/2010 13:42

Bacon, have a look at this article, will tell you what's in them

catwhiskers10 · 08/06/2010 14:13

I had the same problem but have never made the connection until now that the couple of weeks I used these nappies, my daughter had nappy rash, I had just assumed it was one of these things but now, after reading this post I wont be using them again.

BustleInYourHedgerow · 16/06/2010 22:05

They are runnish. Have switched to tesco super dry and find them a lot better, and they're cheaper!

Mummy2Bookie · 21/08/2010 11:24

The problem is that they are cheap nappies. Cheap to make and cheaper than the other pampers brands to buy.
I have tried them. Innitially i loved the way they were not bulky but I now hate them because as soon as baby does a wee, they turn yellow. Which makes them look even cheaper.
