Do you find it difficult to find clothes to fit your dc? My ds is 7 mo, and wears little lamb bamboo nappies. I find it really hard to get trousers on him, but if I go up a size it doesn't make much difference but they are too long!

Frugi (££ though, try ebay)

dungarees

or buy cropped or roll-up trous in a bigger size so bum is big but length is right

(girls have it much easier)

Yes agree with buying cropped trousers or shorts, to use as normal trousers. H&M have some nice ones at the moment.

If you do a search in the archives you'll find a few links. For some reaason it must depend on the build of the child because I had trouble with ds but dd doesn't seem so bad!

I love www.welovefrugi.co.uk as although expensive it lasts, ds work 12-18 trousers until he was 3! I get vests there too.

I usually have managed fine using jogger type bottoms rather than jeans or other trousers -- I don't like dungarees.
Frugi vests have been a worthwhile investment, though.

MrsBadger · 12/04/2010 17:43

they've stopped doing the vests in multicoloured 3pks though - they were fab

So they have! I hadn't noticed that, the 3 packs were great.

We ended up with different sized clothes - ds had reusable nappies at home and nursery, but if we were going out for the day, it was easier to put him in disposables (as we could put them in the bin in the nappy changing room, and didn't have to carry a bag full of dirty nappies around all day), and he had to go down a trouser size just so that the waistband would stay up.

Cropped trousers or ones with roll up legs help a lot so you can go up a size. DD is tiny, just turned 3 and just potty trained, I have had to dig out her old 12-18m and 18-24m trousers as nothing fits her new skinny silhouette!DS is 15m and wearing the same size stuff with his fat cloth bum

Some of the pockets are slimmer fitting but less reliable for explosions than the 2 parters IME.
