ds's first tooth fell out yesterday at the tender age of five, and last night the tooth fairy visited with some money and a certificate. He was so excited and it really brought a tear to my eye.sigh.
ANYWAY....what i was wondering is..what have you all done with the teeth?? i've got it in my jewellery box wrapped in tissue but 20 teeth, two kids....any ideas?

we told our kids if they wrote the tooth fairy a nice letter and ask them to leave the teeth. Both my kids have their teeth in a pot in their rooms.

My mam still has all our baby teeth (i'm 31 and the youngest of 3) nad the other day she said, "Oh dd's been playing with your teeth!")

I'd definately keep them. It's not gonna take up any room is it and i'd hurt to bin them

Pollyanna · 26/07/2005 20:17

ooh, the certificate sounds a good idea - did you nake this? Can I also ask, what's the going rate for a tooth these days? (ds has 2 wobbly teeth at the moment). In answer to your question, I would say keep one tooth each, maybe, but I probably wouldn't keep all of them.

bigdonna · 26/07/2005 20:28

we give £2.00 for top front teeth and £1 for all others.

Tortington · 26/07/2005 21:25

bin it

assumedname · 26/07/2005 21:26

Sorry, but keeping old teeth? Yuk. Bin, bin, bin.

Tortington · 26/07/2005 21:42

however the story of why the tooth fairy needs it - is becuae they are building a big city and teeth are the bricks

put them in named packets with dates.Don't ask me why?

Gillian76 · 26/07/2005 23:57

Just read that as the edible type of date, overdraft!!! Thought eh???

Bin, definitely!

janinlondon · 27/07/2005 11:17

I can't bear to throw them away so I make DH do it

spidermama · 27/07/2005 11:29

Bury them in the garden. They're symbols of growing up. Burying them helps you with the gradual process of letting go.

Too deep?
Sorry.

i got the certificate off the internet and just printed it on to card. There were two i found, and this was the more etheral , fairy looking one of the two.
i like the idea of envelopes with their names on.no way i could bin them. i've still got my positive pregnancy tests ffs!!! there's no way i could bin teeth!
we gave a pound by the way!
