HI all,
I don't post much,(just read a lot!) But am in real need of some motivation!
Have been using cloth since DS was born 6 months ago. - last week we went away & used disposables as nowhere to wash nappies etc.
Now we're home I'm finding it difficult to get back into the nappies. This is mainly because of the washing, the fact that soooo many clothes don't fit & I've also got a torn tendon in my wrist which makes changing him so painful I just want it all done quickly, & with 2 parters they're just a tad more akward.
I need to get back to the cloth NOW & I need to love them again. Anyone with some words to help?

Well one good reason is its now supposed to be getting warmer so drying fresh nappies on the line is the best sight ever. Also everytime you see him think of him sitting in those chemicals, that would get me started again lol. Maybe put him in a disposable through the night and cloth thru day to start with to ease yourself back in or maybe the other way round if your on your own thru day, have you got someone else who can take over in the evening with cloth? Good luck xx

Maybe switching to a pocket nappy now would help with quicker changes?
Your little one (depending on weight) would be ok in a one size pocket now. This could mean a quicker less painfull change for you.

Good Luck

Peachy, Thanks just the mention of the chemicals is a good start! - I am putting him in disposables for the night time for now. & as for dry nice weather....Chance would be a fine thing! (You seen the weather report? Rain everyday for the next 10 days!!!!!)
Babybots, I think you're right about the pocket nappies. Problem is I was given 20 brand new bamboo little lambs with 10 wraps for £50 & whilst they're the biggest bulkiest nappies (IMO) I can't waste them. (stubborn wotsit I am.)

Oooh thats a bargin! You'll find the LL's will slim down as your little one grows, they are bulky at the moment but it wont be that way forever. Very good nappies i love them!

You could invest in some cheap pockets like the Coolababy or a velcro equivalent if thats easier for your wrist. Just use them when you are in too much pain to fiddle with the LL's. Also they are birth to potty so once little one grows out of the LL size ones you can just go over to the pockets full time. LL's are great night time nappies with a bit of boosting!!

But yes the chemical aspect really is enough to make me think Yuck!!!!

DS is in size 2 LL already & has been for the past few weeks! LOL His size 1 LL's that I bought before he was born were micro fibre & I didn't like them at all. (he's an olympic widdler.)
I hardly used them. I must say though I am finding the bamboo ones much better.
