Childminder vs nursery for DS 2.3y?

I have posted on other thread recently re DS, 2.3, and his sudden aggressive behaviour, throwing, kicking, smacking & pushing other children, loud & shouty. After much thought I am of the opinion that much of this stems from nursery. He only attends two days a week but I have not been overly happy with it since he moved into his new room there after Xmas. It's much bigger/busier, ratio's of staff/child obviously different and the girls who work the room are very young. I am wondering if he would be better off with a childminder who can give more personal attention and adhere to our discipline techniques (the usual 'time-out' etc).
I would really appreciate you opinions/experiences.

It may well be that he would be happier in a different setup. However, he has just moved into prime tantrumming age and it may equally well be that nothing you do in terms of childcare can change that until he grows out of it. My Mum was a SAHM and I still had tantrums. So do what you think is best for him- but don't pin your hopes on instant results.

As an ex child minder\nanny, SAHM of 3 I would say that a GOOD child minder has always got to be better than an average nursery.

There should be more continuity, a 'normal' environment. He may well behave with a minder (I didn't have tantrums with any of my mindees) They didn't fear me i just managed to avoid problems by being organised and sensitive to any changes.
