I have to write a quick email and would appreciate it if someone could just read through and check it for me....please....are there any french speakers online?

Think it's 'singe' (monkey) she means marz. (Senora must have grappled with the same French text as me, all those years ago. I remember that bloody monkey!)

yes, singe. I didn't grapple with the textbook, though, eddie izzard did. Ours were all about a little black cat.

my french has been almost completely replaced with Spanish now.

It's an old Eddie Izzard sketch about the rather strange phrases you get in phrasebooks when you go abroad. You need to ask "Which is the way to the hospital please" and all you get is "The monkey is in the tree."

It was hilarious. But you had to be there (or have the video!)
