Just wondering if anyone else has this problem, Every night i put my 10 week old dd in her cot to sleep and she can be lovely and warm but during the night when she wakes to be fed her little hands are always freezing. I've been putting scratch mits on her to keep them warm but recently she's started to enjoy sucking her fingers for comfort so i don't really want to keep doing this.

What do you do to keep them warm and do you think it really bothers them?

thanks xx

I'm glad someone else was wondering this!

My DS is 3 weeks old and has the same thing.

I think it may be something to do with the blood staying around their internal organs? I could be wrong though

Midwife said the best place to check their temperature is their neck.

When DD was tiny her hands got really cold too, but it never seemed to bother her. She was in a sleeping bag, so her hands weren't under the covers at all; I assumed this was why they got cold. I wouldn't worry as long as you don't think it's waking your DD up.

Congratulations by the way .

Thanks people, last night i didn't put dds gloves on and she was fine up to her 4am feed when her little hands were ice cold so i put them on.
I don't think it bothers her i just think i wouldn't like my hands being that cold.
I'll try again tonight. On the plus side the weather will be warming up soon so hopefully it wont last much longer X X
