Big baby and giving up on cloth..

Please help!
I used cloth nappies for my DS from birth to potty. He was in various tots bots and I loved it. He was teeny tiny and therefore they worked fine.
I now have a DD and at 15 months she is 13kg's and with the most fabulous thighs.
She is in tots bots flexi tots with mother ease wraps and they seem really tight. They may well be better with a bigger wrap which I am prepared to try.
I absolutely cannot get trousers to fit her.
I have got sucked in to using disposables on her as cloth just seems to uncomfortable. But I hate it.
Now the sun is shining I am determined to get my nappies back on the line .

So, does anyone else have a big baby and how do you cope?
Should I just go for some size three wraps and just accept that she needs to be in dresses all the time, or is there a super slim fitting nappy that might be better?

I really don't want to give up but it just isn't working

i had to revert back to terry squres when DS2 got too chunky for shaped nappie. Bamboo ones are neater. also onelife popper wraps are very roomy.
on the clothes front he wore dungarees, and you have excuse to buy lots of gorgeous dresses.

Well I have put her back in them today and within 3 hours she was wet through and I've had to change her clothes.
Aggggh - this is so frustrating.

Dresses and leggings! Also bumgenius organic AIOs are really trim, though pricey. Fuzzibuns good for babies with thunder thighs.

But how long will they stay dry for? I am loathe to spend more money and for them to leak again. I can accept the dresses and leggings, but having them leaking all the time seems pointless. Sorry - feeling very negative about it after 3.5 years of using them.

Have you looked at the new bamboo stretchy totbots they released in February. I have some and I LOVE them - though my DD is not as old or big as yours just yet. They are the best I have got for containing things though.

yoyoos are quite big, they are the only ones that I have that I have to snap down on the front

Another thing you might try are some size 3 tots. When ds2 became a power wetter I bought some unbleached nippa size 3 tots and XL rikki wraps - these worked much better than the size twos and large wraps I had been using although he was still within the weight limits for the smaller ones. I think tots only manufacture the size threes as a bamboozle now so they might actually work out even better than the type I had as they would be slimmer. I know what you mean about forking out for more nappies though as ds2 potty trained approx 6 weeks after I bought our bigger nappies which was a bit annoying!

3 hours is about the max for a cloth nappy in my experience - have you thought about a fleece soaker instead of a PUL wrap - much nicer on the legs and great overnight - if you get longies can also be worn as trousers. Rather than buying more nappies iyswim. I recommend the Pumpkin Pants ones - try Babybots, Bespoke Baby Room and JabulaBaby for them.
