We have this one (or an older version of it) - but I would also have your DC checked by GP - my DD's nightime coughing, which I had been writing off to general snottiness, vanished entirely with ventolin (which we only use when she is clogged up, IYSWIM)

Hi. I got a humidifier from Boots and it's served us very well. It was the second one I bought as the first wasn't up to the job, quite frankly. I was going to recommend the one I have but can't find it! This is similar. I would say that you really do get what you pay for.

thanks stealth that was the one i was looking at too!!

both children have been checked by gp's and given the ok, its just one of those things when growing up! we have inhalers and ds1 has been on singlair (sp) to expand his chest which has worked somewhat and gp has suggested to try some on ds2, however trying to look at other non drug options also iykwim!

thanks again

coughing is one of the symptoms of milk\dairy allergy (not very serious like coeliac) but you could try cutting out cheese etc. and give them different milks.

Also raising the headboard end of the bed by placing a few books under the legs helps.

have you tried wet towel on the radiator? does the same job for a fraction of the price....

Gosh naomikar, who do you work for?

We have the Vicks Cold vaporizer which we got when my son had croup. You can put the vapour pad in it too. It was pretty good.

I've got one from Argos like a cone shape, worked well but has started leaking so might get a more expensive one. I always add some drops of olbas oil to the water
