Help! Night nappy leakage! (Cloth)

Dd is 14 months. She feeds a lot at night so has always had a lot of boosting but the past few nights she has been leaking and I can't work out why! Getting a little sick of washing pjs or having her refuse to settle at 5am because she is soggy and by the time she is changed she thinks it is morning.

Usual is a minki huggle plus 2 bamboo boosters and a large ME airflow.

I have added a booster and I have tried putting a terry square round the huggle and boosters which tucks into the legs etc so everything is a good fit. Boosters are always between nappy and wrap so it doesn't affect the fit, I just don't understand it!

I can't afford new nappies so I need an ingenious solution with what I have (huggles, boosters, a pile of terries and a pop in (the inside of which tends to be used a as a booster rather than using the whole nappy!))

Anyone have any bright ideas?

I'm interested to hear ideas too! DC3 (5 mths) is a v heavy wetter, and is soaking through fluffles + booster + motherease airflow. I didn't have this problem with my other two DCs!

I know! Ds just wore a fluffle, sometimes with booster then when he grew out of them jsut a huggle on its own!

I wonder if with dd it is because she is moving around so much, she has just started walking and every time she wakes at night (which is a lot!) she stands up.

Use a fleece soaker - magic - would recommend Pumpkin Pants fleece soakers - they sell them at Babybots, NappyWardrobe (now bespoke baby room), Snoozley Woozley Baby and JabulaNappies. I didn't use them til recently as was very dubious but they have been amazing! HTH

Thanks octo I'll have a look.

I second the fleece soakers, they are magic

DD3 was a super soaker and would always have a wet bed in the morning through her wraps leaking but as soon as we switched to fleece the leaks stopped, dd4 has fleece over night even though she is a light wetter as they are just so much softer on the legs and waist than wraps.

HTH

Does fleece work ok even with a grobag? We tried fleece with ds and ended up with a wet grobag, I assume because it allows the wee to evapourate out but in a grobag then there isn't anywhere for it to go.

I would have thought a grobag would be fine, dd4 wears a popper vest and pj bottoms over fleece and we never get any wicking issues.

The Nappy Shed sells fleece soakers too. Use MNShed as code to get 10% off.

Fleece soakers should still work with grobags as long as grobag isn't mega tight and baby never moves. And it should still evaporate through the grobag as there isn't a waterproof lining in a grobag.

"as long as grobag isn't mega tight and baby never moves."

Haha I think I may have some trouble on the moving front! Madam wakes half a million times a night, sits up, wriggles, flails, stands, feeds, flails, sleeps and starts all over again.

That's OK then. I meant if the baby stayed really still all night.

Ah ok got you
