Do you apologise to your children when you lose your rag? Or do you not lose your rag?! (please tell me how, o virtuous mumsnetters, if that's the case). I feel I've got into a pattern recently of losing rag and then apologising. I don't like it, but I think it is right to apologise. My parents never apologised to me for anything they said or did, and I often wished they had.

i apoligise if i am wrong. i don't apologise for shouting - becuase i dont shout unless its warrented and there has been a state of affairs to get to that point.

however if they told me day was night and i argued against it and then found out it was true - i would aplogise

yes and say please and thank you. I really hate it when other ppl don't mind their manners talking to my kids. It really gets on my nerves cos they would expect manners from the kids.
