I´ve been contemplating purchasing a buggy board for my dd3 for a while now so she can ride on pram with my dd 7wk but they are quite dear so was looking for other peoples experiences of them...do kids actually like them/stay on them? i can imagine my dd being reluctant to stay on but if i have to walk far it might be a diff story.
Basically are they a good investement or not
thanks

I had similar doubts, so bought a second hand one on E-bay. It's been a great investment and I've used it loads. In fact, I didn't need a double pushchair in the end, thankfully. My ds used it from about 3 onwards for a year or so. He's a lively thing, so could hop on and off as he wished, when I let him. He still asks for it, he's 4.3 now, but I now tell him he's old enough to walk.

I've got an o'baby one and i use its most days. DS1 is 2.5yrs and DS2 is 17months. they beat each other up talk to each other whilst we are out & about.

well worth the money here

I used to have the letaf one which had a step and a seat and it was fab! My older one had just turned 2 when the next one arrived and wasn't ready for walking everywhere but I didn't want a double.

You will bash your shins on it the first couple of times you use it but then you soon learn it's there .

they are not ideal on maclaren/umbrella buggies as you have to lean forward but fine on prams where handles are longer IYSWIM.

We used it loads - best from 2.5 - 4 IMO. (before then they may not stay on after 4 a bit big!)

I have a Lascal for DS1 who is 3yo and it took a little bit of heavy disciplining training before he would stand nicely on it rather than trying to drag his feet on the ground because he liked to think of it like a skateboard.

but he definitely prefers it to sitting in a pushchair.

(I have it on a maclaren techno xt and because of the extendable handles I don't lean forward.)

Agree about the maclaren xt. The ones with shorter handles would be difficult but maybe someone will come along and say different.
I had a double when DD2 was 2 because she was a bolter. Later when she was about 2.10 the buggy board was great.
