DS will be 6 next month (Feb) and is in mixed Y1/Foundation class as he is 'a little emotionally immature for his age'. I'm looking for suggestions for TV programmes (we have Sky) for him - when he gets into one programme - he's INTO it!!
Have just managed to get him to decide that Lazy Town may be 'for babies'. Managed to find first episode of Ben 10 on Sky, sat with him and watched it and he did like that - so I've ordered the series DVD so we can watch it in order (and I will have some clue!). He quite likes Horrid Henry and Land Before Time (dinosaurs).
Am being paranoid about him getting called 'baby' at school and would like him to have some common references for the school playground and playdates.
He doesn't watch that much TV but I'm confused about power rangers - who they are, who does what and he does like to know the details (hence Ben 10 series).
Any suggestions happily received - apologies for the trivial nature but it is always the small things! Oh, we also have a DD who is 4 and loves Spongebob!

My DS1 whos 6 prefers Ben 10 Alien Force which is when hes at college whereas DS2 whos nearly 3 prefers Ben 10 The normal one.

DS2 got into it early because of DS1.

DS1 also loves Horrible histories (which is fun for adults as well)

Chuckle brothers

Phineus and Ferb

and personally I think Chowder and The great adventures of flapjack are brilliant.

Ive noticed my DS1 has started enjoying CBBC now.

Danis house

Tracey Beaker.

There is an awful lot of merchandise that goes with Ben 10 and they seem to bring out a new series of Power Rangers every 10 months each as bad as the previous.
Hope that helps.

DD aged almost 6 loves Phineas and Ferb (so does DP). She also likes Kid versus Kat which I think is on Disney XD although the house is a spongebob free zone at the moment due to overload.

deadly 60 is good. anything you can get him to watch without adverts is ideal.

i don't think you should stop him watching stuff because you think it is babyish. often more money is spent on younger children's programming so it is much better quality. although i agree lazy town is not the best. bunnytown!

In my son's year 1 class all the boys are mad into Ben 10. Personally I don't let him watch power rangers as it makes him hyper and he runs round the house trying to karate kick everything and everyone in sight.

He is also really into Phineas and Ferb at the moment and he likes Johnny Test too.

Thanks - I have been steering him into deciding that Lazytown is 'for babies' (his words) as I really can't take any more. He did annouce it in bed the other morning but is still asking for it.
Feel same as Peanuts33 about Power rangers - also I really don't understand the back story so I'm lost! Will try out the other suggestions - he likes Tommy Zoom as well at the moment.
