Always used pampers for ds1 and ds2. Ds2 is , well how shall I say this, portly, well build. bless him, he is a little tubber. and pampers, the purple ones which are active fit, flexible, leaking at night. at the front. huge wet patch on front of his pyjamas and up on the waist up to his chest. Mind you he is downing a bottle and a half of milk at 7-8pm, so maybe that is the problem. but becasue i have never used another nappy, i don't know which else to try. tesco's, sainsbury's ? why are pampers no good all of a sudden ?

We had this problem with or somewhat chunky ds. The only thing that works for us is to put on their normal nappy and then a pull up (next size up) over the top. Pull ups seem to sit a bit higher so that helps.

Try Pampers BabyDry (at night only). And try going up a size, especially if he's in a 4 as the 4+ is the same size but more absorbent.

Failing that, I always found Tesco and Boots (dry variants) very good (but DD wasn't a big milk drinker). Not so impressed with Sainsburys, Superdrug or Huggies.

Or, assuming he doesn't wet in one go, could you do a stealth nappy change during the night?

Actually he is in a 5.do you think that is too big ? I might try the babydry, then . are they more absorbant, do you think ?
or the pull up aswell, maybe, might take a look at them.

thank you both of you.

Pampers always leaked on my DC's. I found Huggies much better.

go up a size at night and use pampers baby dry. Works for my heavy wetting boys

I think huggies can be better for chunkier kids
Tesco's own are also very very very good (and about 2/3 the price)

Agree with Watercress Pampers Baby Dry are designed to last all night. Have used them with both my ds's, now 6 and 3 and they only leaked a handful of times.

Oblomov · 17/01/2010 20:54

oooohh more options. i think i will try baby dry first , if it doesn't work, try another brand like huggies or tescos. thanks everyone.

Huggies only ones to keep my DSs dry at night (Huggies Super Dry or similar name in green and blue packet). Pampers never worked for either of them. DD sometimes leaks at night but prob because I am too lazy to buy different size nappies for her and DS2 (twins) despite her being about 9lbs lighter.....
