do you mean nature babycare? I use them, what is it about them that you find dreadful?

WidowWadman · 16/01/2010 13:23

I use them when reusables are not an option, e.g. when camping or the washing maschine is broken. Nursery uses them too, I find them good

try going up a size. they are not as absorbent cos they don't have the chemical gel in them. (ime!)

i use these tho (in emergencies) and they are pretty good

I've always been pretty happy with them. I have used them with DD since she was newborn (now aged 21m). Started on reusables when she was 6m but still use nature ones for night time and holidays. There was a change in the tabs a few months back but they sorted out that problem and I'm hapy with them.
HerMomminess why do you find them dreadful?
Fit? Absorbancy? What were you using before?

HerMomminess · 17/01/2010 21:17

Hi there. Maybe it' s just my DD' s explosive poo's

Used onelife nappies but just not managing washing/drying etc. So switched to nature brand. Maybe need to go up a size. Just looks like there is a 'gap' on the sides. Defo not expecting 'pampers' like absorbency.

I tried them and thought they were rubbish. They seeme to be too wide between the legs and went really stiff when wet. That was 6 months ago now and woukd give them a go if people really recommend them.

salbysea · 18/01/2010 23:58

my 'heavy wetter' goes all night in nature babycare

he is however in a larger size than the packaging suggest
(by their sizes he would be in a 4 but needs a 5 - this is the case in pampers and huggies too)

I believe they changed the shape recently

My Lo had them as a newborn, then went through a couple of months where they didn't work so well, but tried them again and now they work beautifully

CharlottesClan just to correct, there is some of the chemical gel in NatureBabycare nappies. The eco bit is that they do not use chlorine in the manufacture, and the outer is made from GM free cornstarch, not oil.

Having said that, I think they are pretty good, as long as you get the right size. Ive seen some trial packs on ebay as well, so you can try out different sizes to see which one fits best. Seems a good idea!
