making fleece liners/wraps

hi, is there anything I need to do to treat the fleece when I buy it before using it as a liner (other than washing)?

also, does anyone know where I can buy recycled fleece by the meter? I can only find clothes MADE from the stuff but not the actual fabric

thanks

Hiya - no need to treat it at all. Not sure about organic fleece - how can a plastic be organic? Let me know - would be interested to know what you find.

metre - sorry

I've heard something about lanolin? not sure weather its supposed to be removed or added though?

I've never heard of organic fleece - not sure what that would be?

I buy fleece by the metre in my local fabric shop. Lanolin is used to treat wool soakers/longies prior to putting them on baby.

I also use fleece blankets £1.99 in primark

got around the issue by buying 3 second hand fleece baby blankets at a nearly new today (£2 for 3) - so recycled without any processing

so on the way home I bought a cheeky 1/2 meter of really nice patterned new fleece - though I'd earned it

will mostly use the old blankets for liners/pockets inside the nice patterned stuff! - made one nappy this evening using just one of the second hand blankets, its quite cute but not as nice as the new stuff!
