Advice or new student Mum

Starting a full time (one year) Masters at the end of the month. Will be attending university three days a week and a work placement one day a week. I'll need around 12 hours study time outside of those hours too, apparently.

I have a supportive but very busy and hard working DH and two children (aged 4 yrs and 1 yr), with full time childcare Mon-Fri 8am-6.30pm. My uni is a 1 hour 15 min commute from my house.

Any advice for how to manage my time ...or on any aspect of making this as successful and painless as possible, please?

Ta muchly.

Advice for new student mum, sorry! Maybe 'learn to write in English' as a start, eh?

Don't try and get big chunks of work done in one go. It's frustrating, but even if you only get 30 mins' worth done in one day it's better than nothing. I second Mspontipine's advice too; it's amazing how much time you can spend online, not that I do of course I'm soooo diligent.

12 hours study time outside of uni sounds manageable, as long as they're being honest about the workload.(I tend to spend 20-30 hours a week studying, although my degree has loads of extra reading).

My advice would be to work out your 'most efficient' study time. For me, I work best in the early morning. If I was to work from 3pm-10pm, I would probably be able to complete the same amount of work in an hour in the mornings. So, if you can possibly study during your efficient time, you will get so much more done!
