Snow days - going stir crazy

Me and 9 mo ds are stuck in the house as the drive is too slippy to go out. We usually go out somewhere every day but are house bound. We are both getting a bit fed up of the same 4 walls.
What can we do to relieve the tedium?

Good question! I'm stuck in with dc 21months and 6 months...constant playing with toys/dog, reading books, learning words, dancing to music and snacking a bit boring when there's no break from the house. Went out for a very short slippy walk yesterday but was quite scary...may try again later just to get some fresh air.

There are loads of threads on here with ideas for keeping little ones occupied when housebound.

But here's one you need the snow for:

When DS was 2 and DD was just a few months old, we brought snow into the house (in a bucket) and watched it melt. DS had a stick and enjoyed breaking it up in the bucket.

Yes, i am going mad. Have got DD (6) whose school has been shut for 2 days for 'health and safety reasons' (how can a bit of snow in the playground cause a health and safety risk?) and DS 3 at home. We were out yesterday and met a load of friends and had a fun time tobogganning etc. Today they have been out in the garden a couple of times but we haven't ventured further out as it's very icy and slippery on the pavements and road. If we are all stuck at home tomorrow i will definate;y go mad (or madder than i am already).

I am going to ask the school precisely what the health and safety risk actually is.
