I am new to cloth nappies,I purchased a load of different types of nappies when pregnant, mother ease, tots bots fluffles, bum genius, wonderoos imse vimse, I could go on....
My main problem is I am mother of three and this baby is the first I have been commited to using cloth with, when i put her in bed at night something feels weird about leaving her 'wet' all night, not that there are leaks or anything. I just feel strange about it, you know with a diposable that in the morning the baby will be relatively dry, but with a cloth nappy totally soaked, I have been using disposables at night, now I am totally confused and losing the point of why I went for cloth in the first place, any words of encouragement out there, is cloth really better?

If you use a fleece liner or lined nappy, the babys bum should feel dry in the morning.

Whilst they are taking a vast quantity of milk and I am up feeding anyway I always did a middle of the night nappy change. Then as the 2-3am feed was dropped I started putting nappy on at last feed.

We used disposables for the first few weeks and I did have to change them anyway during the night when DS was tiny. Then at about 2 months we started using cloth nappies with fleece liners and I would double stuff one and be able to use it all night I think, until he got to about 5 or 6 months when I started using disposables again but only at night.

I am not sure though. It was a long time ago

I used to use a liner to keep the urine from DD's skin.

Yes add a fleece liner or use a fleece nappy to keep her nice and cosy.

Don't give up - you sound like you are doing well if no leaks etc! Think of the money you are saving too.

It's absolutely fine to leave to leave them in cloth all night. As has been said already a fleece liner will give that stay-dry feeling.
I always said that if I ever only used 1 nappy a day it would be the overnight one - I couldn't bear the thought of having that chemical gel next to my baby's bottom for 12 hours.

we used cloth on my third baby (now 6 months) from about 2ish months. purely from the fact night nappies didn't last him the night until he was sleeping more and feeding less.

cloth is absolutely the best way to go, don't give up, you will really enjoy it. as the others have said try fleece

but that said if you don't feel able to use cloth at night, disposables aren't the devil
