Cloth nappy or pants needed for almost 4 yo at night

DS is dry during the day, but a heavy wetter at night. Always leaks out of MEOS with two boosters and three don?t fit in my wraps. Have even tried disposables, but they leak too. We do lift him when we go to bed, if only to try to save stripping the bed. He is usually soaked by then anyway, and again by morning. I have a 5 month old in cloth too, and the washing is getting me down!

So, ladies, please help me (for those of you with nothing better to do on New Years Eve) please advise on what are good cloth nappies or pull-ups for a nearly 4 yo! He?s well over 30lb now, at a guess heading toward 32lb. He?s skinny.

Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year!

You could get a much larger wrap, and use some extra large terry towels, or even old bath towels cut down to size. That's assuming you're any good at terry folds. Add in boosters as needed, I think my XXL wrap is Reb brand, but I can't find any 'Net links for them.
I have also tried the Motherease Bedwetter pants, though I'm not sure if they come small enough.

Have to admit that neither of those options worked that well for us, but I think they're the best ones worth trying.

DD (3) is about 30 pounds and up until recently wore Motherease Bedwetter pants. No leaks, but am not sure if it would be different for a boy?

Disana pull-on wool pants are fab and come in XXL - up to 36lb, they say. Will go over lots of extra boosting so you can carry on with your MEOS. And look a lot better on than in the pics.

I have a giant stacinator wrap you can have for free - someone gave it to me for free and is way too big - email me on [email protected] with your address. I did have a reb wrap but gave it to someone recently.

HTH

Hi - all packed up - will post in morning

TheNattyPlus3 · 06/01/2010 19:05

have u considered using a proper night nappy? weenotions could make u an extra large if u emailed them? thats an expensive option.

i would def say go with wool, makes a world of differance, my son leaks out his night nappies with a wrap but put wool over it an the back is still dry. hard to believe but its true!!

MrsThePoint · 08/01/2010 23:55

weenotions have said no they can't at the moment. am considering just going to pull-up pants, and making a point of them being pants and not a nappy. anyone had experience of ME bedwetter pants?

And have to ask Natty, if you might be someone I know in RL - do you have two twin girls and a new baby boy?

octothechildherder thank you for the wrap, but only used it a couple of times as DS decided, off his own back, to wear proper pants to bed. Has done 3 nights dry now! Am so . Hope it will continue - fingers crossed!!!

Is Octo's wrap magic? I still need a cure for my heavy wetting DS1 (4.5yo) who is currently getting through 2 sets of 'nappy pants' (pull-ups) each night in order to keep his bedding dry.

I should try the ME bedwetters I suppose but they are pricey and sounds like you have to get the fit just so.

I just don't want him to be weeing in his damn nappy every night before he goes to sleep

MrsThePoint · 15/01/2010 16:57

Email me your address

and I will send it to you, as I no longer need it Washersaurus. Hope that's ok oco.

Thank you, I have emailed you MTP.

I am hoping if DS1 is less comfortable after weeing in his nappy he may actually decide to stop weeing himself before he goes to sleep.

He outgrew our existing stacinator wraps a long while ago now and we have been using pull-ups ever since. Meanwhile, DS2 is still in washables.

I currently wash the duvet, sheets and bed mat etc about 3-4 times a week
