im a 20 year old single mum on benefits and really really hope to attend full time college next year. although i am rather baffled on how to go about applying for nursery funding.
who supplies it? is it a tax credits thing or something else? ive heard of Care2Learn but i think thats for 20 and under and i will be 21 by the time september rolls around... HELP!

Your college should have someone who can advise you on your best course of action re childcare, funding etc. Contact their student services and they should be able to help.

Which college are you going to? What kind of course are you doing?

The college probably has a student advice service which you can use to get this kind of info.

I'm hopefully going to be studying a full time degree course in September. I was told that I'll get 85% of our child care costs paid, but I can't remember off hand who we apply to for this (not at home at the moment so I don't have my notes on).

Also my college has a nursery on site, a lot of them do - it may be worth checking if yours does?

If its further education its normally a college hardship fund that pays. Speak to student services this coming week.
