Size 4 would be a safe bet. They fit both DS who is six months and my two year old DD.

thanks madame, would you say the pampers are ok for girls as well? not sure if huggies are better/own brand.

may get one own brand and one pampers for her.

yea size 4, or 4+ depending how big she is. I don't find a real difference between pampers and huggies tbh

My DD is in size 4 she is 13 months, thats a lovely thing your doing for your sis.

well i've been where she is now - but I had the help of my fmaily, she has no one really, and XPIL don't have the money to help - not that I have tonnes but enough to spare for some formula & nappies/wipes for the baby.

ok I don't think she's overly big - (it's XH's brother, who's basically walked out on her - lots of contraversy but we're all worried about DN (I guess she still is my neice, as have known BIL since he was 11 (is now 22!))

so do I go size 4 or 4+ then? hmm, she's on cow & gate no 3 formula that much I know if that makes any difference? (DS had the farleys green one for hungry babies so never done the cow & gate thing)

Do you think it's too much to get a few packets of food as well - apparently SIL isn't coping at all & the baby isn't really on solids yet (only has some now & again )

4 should be fine I've used them as an emergency night time nappy on my 3 yr old when staying away from home. My not quite 1 yr old is in them now too.

Nice thing to do too, hmm food perhaps invite them both to lunch? Too political?

thesouthsbelle · 22/12/2009 23:20

would chris but they live 200 miles away so a parcel is getting sent up there in time for xmas to XIL's house. we have reached a semi truce, has taken 2 years (over) but at least we're civial. (was thinking those packet baby food things - SIL isn't the best we shall say at the best of times so under the circs it's prob all DN has to eat )

Tricky, but worth a look in the supermarket perhaps. The postage will be a lot, you could order stuff online to be delivered to your XIL?

Good luck

I think the food sounds like a nice idea and maybe a few nice kid's ready meals if xSIL isn't great at cooking? As for nappies, maybe get 4+ cos they will probably fit now and if not then she will be able to use them in a few weeks when her DD is a bit bigger?

I'd also get some yummy chocolates for her, sounds like she might need a treat

My dd is 11 mo and we use Pampers 4+. She's tall but not too plump and they fit her well.
