Only changed because dd (2.4) is starting to ask to use the potty and nursery (understandably) have said it's quicker to strip a disposable than her regular nippa'd Bumble + wrap to help her get there in time.

But she now has what look like dry, flakey blisters on her labia and is obv in pain when wiping.

Sudocrem not helping at all, bottom butter stopping it gettign worse but not improving it.

What do I need? Have never had rash ever! Metanium? Benpanthen (sp)?

(and yes yes if I had the time / energy / weather I would seriously think about putting her in knickers and going all out for the potty but with
a) Christmas coming, hence lots of travel and disruption, break from nursery tc
b) crap weather means less time spent in garden where puddles don't matter and
c) me hugely pregnant with baby due end of Jan
I think it is the last thing I want to be doing right now...)

Oh dear.
I found the opposite when we switched (for same reasons) in that ds's skin improved big style.
I'd take her to the GP to check it's not some kind of infection. Doesn't sound like staph, but could be similar and it is easily cleared with cream.
Maybe try a different brand of nappy? I found Huggies to be horrible on ds's skin, but others were fine, including supermarket's own.

hmm - have been through various brands as nursery provide them and they seem to use whatever is on offer.

doesn;t look infected to my inexperienced eye, more eczema-y

How about getting some different washables like AIO's or pockets for nursery? They can whip them off as quickly as disposibles and you can always use them on the new baby too if you buy one sized like bumgenius.

Maybe a reaction to the elasticy bit then?

I think it is normal when you switch to disps to get dryness. Try Pot of Gold balm - lovely - very yummy texture and smell - from thenewzealandhoneyshop
