Go back now or in 10 months time?

i've got a year left of study to go - postgrad, already got my first degree, but no career in the current economic climate if i don't finish (dependant on the state pretty much as dh is finishing off his phd). i'm being pressured to keep at it now because i've made commitments, but i'm finding it really unenjoyable, and even more stressful because i hate leaving my 4 month old at nursery 4 days a week full time. Don't know whether i'm just using the childcare as an excuse to bail temporarily and get a handle on what i've taken on, but in any case, what would you do, if you had the choice, finish now, or go back and do that year when little one is 14 months old?
And why? Is it easier when they are little, or older?

Thanks!

it is a tough decision... i think i'll wait for 10 months because when they are small they are so fragile and needy. A 14 month old is more independent, plays at nursery and is more of a challenge to keep untertained all day long!! but thats for you to decide!

would you be able to finish your study part-time? instead of doing 4 days, then maybe do 2 days a week or 4 mornings?
