you and me both chuffed - I am on day 2 !! Can't reassure you here yet but it seems to be going ok so far.... Goodluck !!

chipmonkey · 24/06/2005 17:33

You will, just stroke the inside of the fuzzibunz when you get it, that will convince you!

starlover · 24/06/2005 17:34

hehehe chipmonkey... that's SO true

fwiw, i don't get on with the wonder-full inserts! use a mother of eden microterry insert (much cheaper too!)

i made the leap into washables at night last night and so chuffed!

she has been wearing kushies during the day not a problem, but nights were a nightmare.

Thanks to misdee im trying out a tots bots and last night was the first leak free night in a washable!!!

misdee · 24/06/2005 17:36

you will love them!!

lunachic · 24/06/2005 17:37

need to convert from disposables (tut tut) any tips please
sorry for thread hijack

jessicasmummy · 24/06/2005 17:38

buy tots bots and motherease wraps and fleece liners, have washing machine at the ready and go for it!

lunachic · 24/06/2005 17:52

i used too think i did so much washing i couldnt do it and now i realise it prob wont make much difference to my washing mountain !
how much would it be to set up for a 14 month old and is it worth it at this late stage ?

misdee · 24/06/2005 17:54

definatly worth it. cost me about £100 to start up with 8/10 nappies, roll of liners and 4 wraps IIRC. as dd2 was l;ate into cloth, we only needed a small amount to start with, tho did have to wash them more often.

lunachic · 24/06/2005 18:01

thought it might be about 80 im skint ill have to wait few weeks and think about it then -dont really fancy buying them secondhand !

misdee · 24/06/2005 18:02

nothing wrong with second hand. tots can be washed a pretty high temps. i'd buy new wraps tho.

lunachic · 24/06/2005 18:03

do the machine washable ones need soaking and will her clothes fit ok?
ive just thought it will be cheaper in long run than buying moltex which ive just gone on to from huggies

lunachic · 24/06/2005 18:04

what are wraps please the inner bit or the outer bit ?

lunachic · 24/06/2005 18:10

the outer bit i guess

misdee · 24/06/2005 18:11

no need to soak. just sluice off the poo down the loo if using fleece liners, if using flushable then just flush the mess away, pop in bucket. put dirty nappies in machine and wash.

misdee · 24/06/2005 18:11

yes the outer bit

lunachic · 24/06/2005 18:14

dont fleece liners get hot in this tropical heat

misdee · 24/06/2005 20:44

fleece keeps the baby bum dry,

chipmonkey · 24/06/2005 21:35

Luna, the fleece is actually quite thin, so doesn't heat up.

starlover · 24/06/2005 21:39

fuzzi bunz are lined with fleece. and DS is cooler in them than in disposables

BevB · 24/06/2005 21:41

popolini do a nappy similar to tots bots size 2 (bravo) and the wraps are similar to the motherease wraps at only £4 each 5% off this week too

loobywoof · 26/06/2005 21:37

Snap. I've also just ordered a couple of fuzzibunz.( Have used cloth before but not on DD and not Fuzzis) Hope we've done the right thing. Have you got yours yet?

chipmonkey · 27/06/2005 10:27

I have a couple of popolini wraps and I find them very reliable.

Chuffed · 27/06/2005 12:23

no haven't got them but just won £25 worth in the mumsnet comp last week so might get some slinky minki's as well. I want something slim fitting.
