What hot drink to give a 3.5yo?

Hi, sounds trivial I know! but she only has water or milk at the moment (removed the vimto after good advice from MN). But sometimes she wants something warm and she's not a fan of warm milk. I've tried her with my fruit tea's but she's not keen.

Any suggestions?

hot chocolate? Mine love it as a treat.

Apple juice diluted with hot water is nice. Add a spoonful of honey if you are feeling specially kind.

I do hot apple juice too (we have bottles of concentrate which you dilute). I'm a bit dubious about whether it is bad for the teeth though so tend to keep it for special.

Does your daughter like peppermint tea, or alternatively 'cambric tea' (a splash of real tea from the pot just to give colour with milk and hot water)? .

orange juice with hot water

rooibos tea (the clipper one is lovely) with lots of milk...does not contain caffeine but tastes more like normal tea than herb tea!

squash diluted with hot water instead of cold

hot choc as a treat (made with more milk and less choc than you would have)

Tea suggestions are good ones. I have peppermint in, I'll give that a try. I also have decaf normal tea - is it just the caffeine that she should avoid?

Am trying to avoid the sweet drinks, as she became rather obsessed with vimto.

Red bush tea - nice and soothing and caffeine-free. My DD (2.8) loves it.
