Can anyone recommend a good mattress for small children?

I need two for a new bunkbed for my 2 and 5 year old dcs. I suppose the budget is up to 100 pounds for each mattress. Is it possible to buy a comfy mattress for that amount and if so, where from and what type? Are IKEA foam ones any good? I thought less chance of springs sticking up uncomfortably with foam and i once slept on a foam mattress in a rented place and found it really comfy as it kind of moulded itself around me. Are John Lewis Value £50 ones any good? I don't mind going to try them out, but just need to know where to go as JL and IKEA are quite far from me. Thanks to anyone who answers.

The Ikea sprung ones are quite good and they are about 100 each. I just bought one for DD for her daybed and she says it's really great. To me it's too soft but apparently that's what kids need. The springs are encased so shouldn't stick up, I don't like just foam, not really supportive.

Always sprung mattresses much better support than a foam mattress, especially in the longer term.
First check what size mattress you need and then check the ikea website if they make the right size then I would head there - but first measure as some times Ikea sizes are a bit different. They are reasonably priced and comfortable.

Thank you. Will have a look at the IKEA sprung mattresses.

both my lo's have this mattress from Argos. It gets good reviews and is within your £100 budget

it must be comfy as both lo's sleep great on it. It isnt too soft but then isnt too firm either.

I bought foam mattresses here (I think I went for cheap and cheerful, but can't remember which one) and I like that they have 'custom' sizes.
