Does your 10 month old or older still BF at night? Please make me feel better!

My dd2 has always woken loads at night but has settled on an average of 3 feeds per night at varying times. I felt like she shouldn't still be doing this (HV, other mums...)like she shouldn't 'need' milk in the night, like I've formed bad habits etc. Tried leaving her to cry for a bit (10 mins then go in and pat...repeat...) but it seems she can cry for ever! We've persisted with leaving her to cry for several weeks (not to cry continuously for several weeks!!!) and it's making no difference, except that it's getting me and dh more and more exhausted and down. I feel like taking a step back, feeding her when she wakes and going with the flow. It seems like all other babies this age sleep through...please tell me I'm not alone in this! Thank you

My dd woke up loads of times per night during her first year. (I bf her to sleep.) From age 1- 2 it was 1- 3 times per night. Then aged two still bf before sleep but learned to go to sleep from awake some of the time and started to sleep through not long after 2 years old.

Ernest, my Ds is same, but we do put him to be later otherwise he would be up at silly o clock!

Hi, my ds is 12 months and still waking at least twice at night. He has a full bfeed at around 2am, a quick nibble at 4-5am, then usually ends up in our bed until we get up at 7am. Funny enough, he mostly wants to cuddle when co-sleeping, not feeding. I am just hoping he will grow out of it one day (soon) and starts sleeping through (dream). You are definitely not alone

oh yes, ds fed at night until about 20 months and then we did jay gordons night weaning. Before that i timed how long he was feeding for, and then reduced it by a minute each time, until about 3 mins, then 30 secs each time. It was difficult to stay awake but it meant that when I finally stopped feeding him at night, he didn't actually feel he needed it. quite gentle with minimal crying.
