6 mnths old an pregnant again heeeelp !!!!!!! please xx

hi guys,
my daughter was born in march so shes just 5 an half mnths old and i find myself pregnant again!
ive struggled with what to do and here i am wrighting for some help!
i dont know how far along i am but pretty sure the new baby will be here around my daughters 1st bday!

surely organisation and prep is the key!
but i dont wanna be the kind of mum who is stuck at home with 2 screaming kids.
i want to be out doing stuff with them so does anyone no of places etc around rainham?
and has anyone any advice for me???????

Having been there myself it is hard work, but you are already in the feed activity, sleep, bath, nappy change routine, so you probably will find the transition to 2 easier than when you had your first child.

The same thing happended to me - my two are 14 months apart and are now 3.9 and 2.7. It is daunting, but in the end fine, and now I'm delighted that they are so close in age (both boys) - same interests and play together really well (mostly...). People say 'oh it must be tough, but if you don't have a bigger age gap to compare it with, well, you just get on with it really, don't you? And you don't get any of the jealousy thing that you get with bigger gaps.

The first few months can be tough so I think the key is to get as much help as you possibly can. And getting out is great too, especially as they get bigger. We practically turf ours out of the door by 9.30.

Don't live near you - have you tried your MN local area or meetups sections on here?

When my DD was 6 months old I found out I was 5 months pregnant, and then DS was 3 weeks early meaning I have a 9.5 month gap.

Top tips...get a Phil and Teds, get a cleaner and freeze as many family meals as you an in the run up to the birth. REpack your going-out bag as soon as you get in so that you can just pick up and go when you need to get out.

They are now 7 and 6.5, and it is loads easier. I also have an 18 year old and a ten year old!

It is doable. My DSs 1 and 2 are 1 year and 10 days apart. I was pregnant @ 5 months after DS1's birth and DS2 was 2 months premature.
There is no denying that the start is hard, but I am now reaping the benefits of them being close in age. They are great buddies, play great together, and when they fight (which they frequently do ) they are very evenly matched .

Just offereing my support. Lots of really good practical suggestions above.

im hoping for another girl as i think sisters that close in age will be adorable and god when theyre older. they will prob be best of friends.
