Is there some kind of contraption that lives in the cupboard that can be wisked out for guests??

First Readybed?

Generally, I don't invite 3yo's to sleep over

nancy75 · 12/08/2009 21:52

blow up mattress? not good for more than a couple of nights in a row but probably ok for the odd night here and there? argos sell them and they fold down to nothing.

top and tail with your dc in their bed?

first readybed, defn - less potential for 3 yo to roll off & wake up at 3am

rubyslippers · 12/08/2009 21:54

i have just bought a brill airbed and pump which packs up into a rucksack from dunelm ...

looks fab - it is a single size but very sturdy

about £20 IIRC

ChopsTheDuck · 12/08/2009 21:55

ours had normal readybeds

choppychopster · 12/08/2009 21:55

DD is nearly 3 and sleeps on a ready bed when we visit the GPs.

BiscuitStuffer · 12/08/2009 21:57

oh. are 3 year old sleepovers dreadful??

how long does a ready bed last for (as in ages) and do you have a link for the thing you bought ruby?

deepdarkwood · 12/08/2009 21:58

3 yo sleepovers are fine
Mostly

Getting rid of your 3 yo for a night and having a leisurely breakfast? Priceless...

rubyslippers · 12/08/2009 22:00

ta da

haven't tried it yet, as only bought it today but have been looking for ages

DS also 3

BiscuitStuffer · 12/08/2009 22:02

Ha ha - it might be if you didn't have your 1 year old .

It's actually easier when the older one is around - with her, DS becomes stickier than dog shit to ones shoe.

BiscuitStuffer · 12/08/2009 22:03

I mean, 'without' her...

Ah an aero bed - we have a double one - they're fab. Do you just use a normal sleeping bag on top?

I love the look of the ready beds having a duvet attached and all that! Less cupboard rummaging for me!

Hulababy · 12/08/2009 22:05

I wouldn't bither with a "first" ready bed (won't get even use) and just get a normal ready bed, or an airbed and sleeping bag.

Washersaurus · 12/08/2009 22:21

Or you could get a Kampa Junior air bed much cheaper and more comfy (we use one for camping) bigger than First Ready bed but still has the raised edges to stop them rolling off.

Washersaurus · 12/08/2009 22:22

Kampa bed also comes in pink

BiscuitStuffer · 12/08/2009 22:33

I think we need something without the roly poly edges - DD doesn't fall out of a single bed and it would only be a short distance to the floor....
